Rules

Which rules apply to regular skirms?
Regular public skirms follow the CQB rules. Special events publish their own rules on the event page.
Do special events follow regular CQB rules?
Special events may have event-specific rules. Read the rules on that event page before booking.
What happens if I bring banned gear?
You will be asked to swap it out. If you don't have a compliant replica with you, you can use a paid rental kit (not included for free). We won't refund a no-show if you choose to leave because your speedsoft loadout isn't allowed.
Are rental kits available?
Yes — full kits including replica, mags, eye pro and BBs are available. Reserve a kit when booking your event.

Gear & Equipment

Are tank grips / ESG grips banned?
Tank-in-grip / ESG HPA builds are not allowed at regular CQB skirms. Special-event equipment rules are listed on each event page.
Are pistol rifle-mag adapters allowed?
At 50 cm or longer in play configuration, all magazine types are allowed. Below 50 cm, M4/SMG rifle-mag HPA adapters on pistols are not allowed; shotguns, bolt-action and lever-action replicas may use adapters. See the CQB rules for other limits and exceptions.
Are drum magazines allowed?
Replicas measuring 50 cm or longer in play configuration may use any magazine type, including drums and mid-cap adapters. Below 50 cm, real-cap and low-cap magazines are allowed types; other permitted types may be loaded with up to 30 BBs per magazine. Gas magazines are allowed, but gas drums are not. Adapter and action-specific exceptions are listed in the CQB rules.
What clothing can I wear at regular CQB skirms?
Casual clothes, tactical attire and regular sportswear are fine. Competitive sports jerseys (speedsoft, paintball, cycling or motocross) are not allowed.
What counts as a competitive sports jersey?
A jersey is treated as a competitive sports jersey if it has one or more of: flashy colours, a number on the back, or a player or team name on the back. This covers speedsoft, paintball, cycling and motocross jerseys. Regular sportswear and plain training shirts are fine.
What is the maximum rate of fire (RPS)?
All replicas are capped at 5 RPS. Keep fire controlled. Overshooting means shooting more than necessary or continuing after an opponent calls a hit; stop when they call it.
What gear and clothing are suitable for CQB?
Almost anything works: casual clothes, airsoft / tactical attire, regular sportswear, plain training shirts. Plate carriers and chest rigs are fine. Competitive sports jerseys (speedsoft, paintball, cycling or motocross) are not allowed.

Playstyle

Can I still play fast?
Yes. Fast play is still allowed. Do not shoot more than necessary or continue after an opponent calls a hit; uncontrolled spam is not allowed.
Can I still rush?
Yes. Tactical rushing — pushing positions, breaching, flanking — is part of CQB. What's out is uncontrolled rushing with prefire and trigger spam.
What counts as trigger spam?
Continuous, often inaccurate fire above our hard limit of 5 RPS.Controlled, aimed semi-auto shots within 5 RPS are fine.
What counts as prefire?
Excessive, speculative fire through doorways, corners or windows to deny space. Controlled prefire as part of anticipation or movement is fine; spamming corners to force trades is not.
What counts as suppressive fire?
Continuous fire intended to pin a player rather than hit them. Controlled suppressive fire within the 5 RPS limit is allowed.

Events

Do special events use the regular CQB rules?
Regular public skirms use the same CQB rules. Special events may differ and publish their rules on the event page.
Where do I find special-event rules?
Special events may have rules that differ from regular CQB. Read the rules listed on that event page before booking.
Can a pistol be my primary replica?
A pistol may be primary when the complete replica, with accessories or carbine kit fitted, measures at least 50 cm in its play configuration. It may then use any magazine type.
How is replica length measured?
Measure point-to-point in the configuration used during play. Fitted tracers and suppressors count; a stock played collapsed is measured collapsed. Exactly 50 cm qualifies for the unrestricted magazine rule.
